/ STANDARDS

A licence is
the baseline.

Licensing establishes a minimum requirement. Rook’s standard is built around the quality of the people assigned, how they are prepared and how the service is supervised.

01 / SIA

Appropriately licensed.

Every licensable role is carried out by personnel holding the appropriate valid SIA licence. Licensing establishes the minimum legal requirement; Rook’s selection process goes beyond licence status alone.

02 / BS 7858

Screened before first assignment.

Rook requires personnel to complete BS 7858 screening before their first assignment, including a documented five-year work history and the relevant verification.

03 / PREPARATION

Prepared before the first shift.

Every operative is verified, inducted to Rook standards, and given clear written assignment instructions and a site-specific briefing before taking up their role.

04 / CAPABILITY

Medical capability within the team.

Our team includes personnel with recognised first-aid and pre-hospital care qualifications, supported by operational medical experience.

The uniform is the easy part.JUDGEMENT • PREPARATION • SUPERVISION
/ WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE

Security is more
than presence.

A visible security presence matters. But prevention, communication, professional authority and clear command are what make that presence useful.

PREVENTION

Before intervention.

The best incident is the one prevented through awareness, early action and sensible communication.

AUTHORITY

Without unnecessary confrontation.

Security personnel should be capable of maintaining control while communicating professionally and proportionately.

COMMAND

Clear roles and supervision.

Teams need defined responsibilities, clear communication and a clear supervisory structure.

REPRESENTATION

Part of the client experience.

Security personnel are often the first point of contact for customers, visitors and residents. Their presentation, communication and judgement shape how the environment is perceived.
